Yay, It’s Hump Day Video Time. Bankruptcy Basics – How to File for Bankruptcy.

Good Morning, and happy Wednesday! Because it is Wednesday, and we could all use a little break on Wednesday, I have included a bankruptcy video for you in today’s blog post. In this video, you will find information on how to file bankruptcy.

In fact, here is the caption that accompanies this bankruptcy video: How does someone file a bankruptcy case? In order to file for bankruptcy, an individual must take a credit counseling course to learn about alternatives to bankruptcy as well as accurately complete and file a number of documents.

Now you know how to file bankruptcy, right? Okay, I am being facetious. But, in searching for informational bankruptcy resources to share with you, I stumbled upon one of my pet peeves.

Because I offer free bankruptcy consultations for anybody considering filing for Arizona bankruptcy protection, I occasionally stumble across an individual that has no intention of hiring an experienced Phoenix bankruptcy lawyer. Instead, they are simply on a bankruptcy fact-finding mission.

For those individuals, let me tell you how to file for bankruptcy (in 3 words or less): Hire a lawyer. No, seriously…..hire a lawyer. But you are unemployed and have spent time on google reading about bankruptcy? Hire a lawyer. But your brother’s best friend handled his bankruptcy case without a lawyer? Hire a lawyer. But your grandma was a bankruptcy paralegal in 1973 and offered to help you with your case? Hire a lawyer.

That being said, I am not wholly against representing yourself in a bankruptcy case. If you are interested in reading a longer conversation regarding representing yourself in bankruptcy, you can find one here. Otherwise, enjoy the movie.

My cousin and I genuinely were delighted reading material on this site, I was just eager to know if you share featured posts? I am always seeking to find somebody to make trades with but it’s just a thought I would inquire.
