Postnuptial Agreements

Much like a prenuptial agreement, a postnuptial (or postmarital) agreement can dictate how financial debts, obligations, and assets will be split if the two parties should ever divorce. Some couples see a need for postnuptial agreements when they embark on a new financial challenge and wish to establish boundaries of ownership and responsibility. This could include purchasing real estate assets, accruing debt for a specific purpose, or starting a new business.

Unlike prenuptial agreements, a postnuptial agreement is not governed by the Arizona Uniform Premarital Agreement Act. You must seek the legal expertise of a qualified attorney to be sure that your postnuptial agreement is fully valid and enforceable. Contact us for a free consultation to learn more.
